teaching & mentorship testimonials

“Litwak is a radiant, born storyteller who knows how to walk the walk and dance the dance. A modern-day shaman, she spins a healing tale of the power and potency of womanhood.”

- The Los Angeles Times

“Jessica has the unbelievable power to put 20 strangers together and during three days build with them community, that lasts. One of the most inspiring people in my artistic life.”

- Angela (Paris)

”Jessica's guidance during our workshop managed to take a group of complete strangers from diverse artistic and cultural backgrounds and help us become an unexpectedly harmonious ensemble, in which everyone could find a place. The sense of community she fostered over the course of just three days has continued well beyond the workshop itself. It was such an enriching experience, both on an artistic level and on a human level.”

- Misha (The Netherlands)

“Working with Jessica Liwak helped me get rid of my blocks on stage. She can share experiences with people from all of the world and show that their life can be very similar. That they have similar problems . She has the ability to open people. I study acting at Prague Conservatory and I have never experienced anything like that....Really. She opened my eyes about theatre on stage, she woke up my fantasy and she opened my heart!”

- Tereza (Prague)

“I had the great opportunity to join in two workshop Jessica Litwak have conducted in the Rotterdam. Theatre of The Oppressed Festival. And I can clearly state that those two ( puppet to the people and the voice ) have changed my life. I am very much sure that I will be a better drama writer, a better director to my actors and a better activist personality to my community. I hope to have the chance to follow her teaching and human loving attitude sooner then later.”

- Amit (Rotterdam)

“I have participated in many of Jessica's workshops. All provided new insights, skills, personal connections, and creative inspiration. One of my favorites was her workshop at La MaMa Umbria. Jessica shared her passion for puppet building, helping us to construct gorgeous puppets and create characters as we built. We used our creations to improvise group scenes. Jessica directed a site- specific fairy tale puppet show for the children of the Umbria community. Many of the children spoke Italian so we did a lot of singing and gesture to communicate. This is one of Jessica's many talents - communicating and working cross culturally, around the world.”

- Julia (USA)

“Jessica Litwak is a playwright, an actor, a co-creator, a workshop leader, a catalyzer of thoughts and action, but each and every time, I was deeply touched by her competence and her contagious energy. An active volcano.”
